Can you get your interior done cheaper elsewhere? Sure can, but .... you may want to read the next paragraph before you decide to go elsewhere.
What we do at The Car Spa is a far superior interior detailing service than anyone else in Kingston can offer - including dealerships. We are a COMPLETE steam service facility. The other shops may have a little steamer to do your cupholders, vents, etc. but they haven't invested in $20,000 in commercial steam equipment like we have at The Car Spa. We use the steamers on everything in your vehicle. Your floors, upholstery, leather, etc. are not soaked like you have come to expect with the "old-school" shops who flood your interior with pressure washer/extractor/shampooer methods. Don't be fooled by the terminology - it all means copious amounts of water which leaves the carpet underpad soaked and vulnerable to mould and mildew. This is what gives you that "wet dog" or "stinky feet" smell after having your vehicle professionally cleaned. And that's not it ... did you know that there are electrical wires that run under the carpet? Not ideal having those electrical wires sitting in pools of water. In the world of automotive detailing the statement is true ... "you get what you pay for". Have it done right the first time at The Car Spa where our service is guaranteed!!
* Please Note: There will be a $100 fee for "no-shows" and lack of 48-hour cancellation notice. Monday appointments need to cancel or reschedule by the previous Thursday at noon. Calling the evening before or the morning of is not acceptable notice and will be charged the $100 fee.

Exterior Wash & Hand Wax

$90 - SUVs, Crossovers, Vans & 4 Door Trucks
Time: Approximately 1 – 1.5 hours
The Car Spa uses highest quality carnauba wax for all of its exterior work. Carnauba wax is the preferred car wax because it creates a rich, warm glow. It doesn’t appear to sit on the paint. It transforms the paint into a deep, liquid pool that shimmers under changing light condition and provides very good protection for your car’s paint. The carnauba car wax repels water and consequently most contaminants. An application of a carnauba-based car wax to your vehicle will protect it from UV rays, heat, moisture, oxidation, and environmental contamination.
The drawback of carnauba waxes, if you can call it a drawback, it does not last as long as a synthetic sealant. A carnauba car wax finish will wear off in approximately 6 to 8 weeks. It depends heavily on the climate in which you live and whether or not your vehicle is garaged. Daily commutes in a hot, humid climate means a shorter life span for your wax coat. Additionally, harsh detergents in the “drive thru” car washes will shorten the lifespan of the coat. If you are looking for a longer lasting paint protection than you may want to consider a paint sealant. See below for more information under the Paint Sealant service.

Clay Bar
$60 - Cars, Regular Cab Trucks
$90 - SUVs, Crossovers, Vans & 4 Door Trucks
Removes paint contamination, overspray & industrial fallout.
Paint contamination consists of tiny metal shavings from rail dust, brake dust & industrial fallout. This contamination affects all paint finishes and can cause serious damage when left untreated. Paint contamination can be felt as a “rough or gritty” texture on the paint’s surface and can lead to tiny rust spots. This contamination can not be removed by washing, waxing and/or polishing. Claying should always be used on freshly washed, clean surfaces. Clay bars will not remove scratches, swirls, dull, oxidized paint or restore surface gloss. This is accomplished by polishing the surface after claying. Polishing alone will not remove paint contamination. Clay bar will not remove paint or the clear coat finish. It can be used as often as necessary to keep the surface free of contamination and smooth. Always apply a protective coat of wax or paint sealant after claying the surface.
There are three major causes of paint contamination:
1. Rail dust - produced from the friction of train wheels against railroad tracks. Over 70% of new vehicles are shipped by rail. Rail dust can contaminate a new car’s finish before it even reaches the dealership. Anytime a vehicle is parked or travels near a railroad it is subject to rail dust contamination.
2. Brake dust - particles produced from the friction of brake pads rubbing against the rotor. This metal on metal friction disperses tiny particles of bare metal into the air and on the highway where it collects on passing vehicles.
3. Industrial fallout - another word for pollution, industrial fallout is a by-product of our modern industrial age.
* Claying is in addition to a wash/wax service.
Example:
Clay Bar Car ($60) + Wash/Wax Car ($60) = $120 + HST
Clay Bar SUV/Van/Trucks ($90) + Wash/Wax SUV/Van/Trucks ($90) = $180 + HST
